He considers the people of the Maranacook area to be kind of his extended family and looks forward to spending his retirement years helping out the members of that family.

Taylor Cray, Board Member

Taylor Cray is a life-long learner, adventurer, and unrelentingly hopeful person. Raised “free range” in the woods of rural Maine, she is deeply committed to the future of Maine’s rural communities and young people. Taylor has spent the past six years attending the University of Maine and exploring as much of the area as possible. She graduated in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and in 2022 with a master’s degree in Global Policy. She now is very excited to continue learning and growing alongside community-led movements, particularly those that focus on the well-being of rural communities and building a more equitable, sustainable future for Maine. When not in these spaces, she can most often be found rock climbing, hiking, running, enjoying time with friends and family, and generally leaning into the captivating, beautiful, and ridiculous experience of being a person. She is very excited to be a member of this organization, and can’t wait to see what the future holds!
